Aishwarya Rai’s “Heroine” is closed?
Madhur Bhandarkar’s dubious project, “Heroine”, is reportedly closed now. Speculations are suggesting that makers are looking for another actress to replace their ‘pregnant heroine’ but according to insiders the disappointed director has now shelved the project that was budgeted about 15 crore.
The film that stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Arjun Rampal in lead roles was announced in May 2011 at Cannes Film Festival. Earlier this month the filming was started and before the arrival of the news of Aishwarya’s pregnancy the film has completed six days shoot at Mehboob Studios and Lata Bungalow.
With a signing amount already paid to the principal cast and crew, the expenses of six days shoot and pre-production of the film are now look complete waste. According to source it’s at least a loss of Rs 5 crore for the filmmakers.
However, for the confirmation of the reports we will have to wait for the producers (UTV) or director Madhur Bhandarkar’s word, both are currently neither declining nor confirming the news.
