Karan Johar to remake “Heartbreaker” with Shah Rukh?
As previously reported, Karan Johar is planning to remake a French love story. Recently, to acquire the rights to the French film the producer-director had a meeting with filmmakers in London.
However Karan has decided not to reveal the name of French film until the deal settles but some insiders have revealed that the film is “Heartbreaker”.
“Heartbreaker” is a romantic comedy that was released in 2010 and starred French actors Romain Duris, Vanessa Paradise and Julie Ferrier in lead roles. In the film a young man (named Alex) and his sister run the business of breaking up undesired couplings.
It is also reported that in Karan’s Indian remake, Shah Rukh Khan is supposed to play the male lead. Karan has not confirmed yet if he will only produce or both produce and direct the film.
Right now Karan is busy with the pre-production work of his soon to start film “Student of the Year”. The shooting of the film will possibly start next month.
