Hyundai is angry with Delhi Belly’s donkey-rickshaw joke
Aamir Khan has recently encountered some tough moments when he received legal notice from two Delhi based artist regarding the issue of copyright infringement over the title of Delhi Belly’s superhit song ‘Bhag DK Bose’. However Aamir successfully solved the controversy in a very friendly way but now another bell of trouble is ringing for the producer-actor.
This time automobile company Hyundai is fuming at the DB filmmakers. Story is that one of the film’ gag didn’t go well with the company. In the movie when Imran Khan’s character (Tashi Malhotra) receives a red car (as a present) from his would-be father-in-law, one of his friend comments “When a donkey f***s a rickshaw, this is what you get.” That red car strongly resembles Hyundai’s Santro (however the filmmakers have done certain changes to the car but still it is) and that’s why automobile company is demanding that reference to be removed from the film.
“Our team has seen the movie. Even though the car is modified and the branding has been removed, everybody knows it is a Santro. Hyundai will issue a legal notice to the film’s production house, director and producer to remove the dialogue. The legal notice is on its way,” said Hyundai India’s head of corporate communications, G. Sanjay, to HT.
People are now speculating that Aamir did this to take a dig at Shah Rukh Khan, who is the brand ambassador of Hyundai Santro. Right now, Aamir Khan has refused to comment anything about this matter since he has not received any legal notice yet.
